Established in 2000 AKAB School for the Blind is accredited by the AJK Government and the national certifying organizations. Located in the heart of Mirpur, Azad Kashmir PAKISTAN.


AKAB School for the Blind is a private, non-profit institution dedicated to educating children and youth.


The school which has enrollment of 150 plus male and female students and receives its funding from the friends and volunteers, offers pre-school through high school programs, free of charge hostel facility, food and transport.


More than 60 girls and boys have successfully passed their matriculation in recent years. The visually impaired children have special access to the local Cricket stadium, parks and entertainment places.
